"Jamaica
was a Manx from two registered Manx parents that was purchased with
the consideration to breed to Pixie,
the daughter of the first two Legend Cats TM that had produced a litter.
There was no Pixie-Bob program at the time, so this was not a planned
breeding, nevertheless, when I saw the result of the mating, I resolved
to do it again. Pixie, the only daughter of that mating was so beautiful
that I sought a male to help me produce more kittens like her. My
choice at the time was Jamaica. He was black, had a short stumpy tail
and the true Manx appearance, having a roached back, copper eyes,
and a thick double coat. Although I considered him a good choice in
1989 and 1990, I have rued the day I brought him home, as I shortly
decided to have a real breeding program, one that would be based on
barn cats of the Legend Cat TM persuasion.
However, prior to that decision, I bred him to Pixie several times,
and he was the sire to "the three sisters", Stone
Island's Lucy, Lioness
and Bobby Jo.
He was also bred to Stone
Island's Monster and was the sire of the incredible Stone
